Arts, Culture and Society offers a unique approach that integrates insights into present-day modes of production, distribution and consumption of arts, culture and heritage beyond and across national cultural boundaries. The specialisation provides you with the tools to understand the cultural sector’s unique needs specific to art organisations, cultural industries, cultural policy or heritage management.

- Learn to understand the interrelations between the arts and society, using current research from sociology, cultural studies, cultural economics and heritage studies;
- analyse and tackle the challenges arts and culture face in today’s society;
- envision new possibilities and establish sustainable models for the organisation of arts, culture and heritage, using cutting-edge insights from cultural policy, marketing, audiences, and education;
- learn the skills to advise and assist cultural organisations with your knowledge of the production and distribution of arts and culture and your understanding of why and how audiences consume arts and culture;
