This week Eurekaweek kicked off, introducing new students to EUR, the city, and various associations. You Belong is the welcome message of IDEA Center to the Eurekaweek participants.
At the campus fair visitors could chat with our student assistant Rei Bularca about Rei's personal journey from being a new student in Eurekaweek a few years ago themselves to finding their way and getting involved in initiatives on inclusion, diversity, equity & access at our university.
Veronika Norvaisaite, project lead Inclusive Soft Landing, welcomed students to EUR as well, and shared more information about IDEA Center our work, our events, and about ways to contribute to a more inclusive university for all.
IDEA Center also collaborated closely with Eurekaweek Management to support the participation of 13 diverse student organisations and associations at the campus fair: whether big or small; they play an important role in helping our new students find their communities and feel at home. We were happy to see so many (new) students and student organisations at the fair!
