Below is a brief summary of the dissertation:

Research has moved from being structured by traditional disciplines towards a quest for answers to societal challenges drawing from multiple disciplines. This thesis looks at the development of two areas of research that have emerged and evolved in this context: migration studies and policy sciences. It seeks to explain what these developments mean for knowledge production more broadly.
