Bring your data to life: Meet the people inside your research

GenAI Monthly Meetup
Futuristic Education Lab

What if your qualitative data could talk back? It might sound like something out of a sci-fi novel, but it’s already happening. The team from Parai, this month’s GenAI Meetup host, creates digital characters that can speak on behalf of participants input. They’ve even worked with the Municipality of Rotterdam to turn real public insights into interactive, conversational "stemdragers" that bring new perspectives to the decision-making table.

Open to anyone at EUR, you’ll discover how AI can transform real, authentic interviews and data into characters you can have actual conversations with. Not hypothetical personas, but voices built from what real people think, hope and worry about.

Curious? Skeptical? A bit of both? Perfect. This session is for researchers, lecturers, students and staff from every corner of the university. Whether you’re excited about the possibilities or concerned about the implications, your perspective is essential. Together, we’ll explore the opportunities, the risks and the ethical questions that come with letting our data “speak." Let’s discuss the implications and opportunities of our research coming to “life” with AI.

Parai

We are Robin & Jim. Parai is a start-up that emerged directly from research conducted during our graduation at the Faculty of Industrial Design Engineering at TU Delft. During this research, we discovered the potential that new technology can have for our society. In collaboration with the public sector, we explore how technologies like AI can contribute to human decision-making: by learning, experimenting, and reflecting on how innovation can foster greater connection and social impact.

About the GenAI Monthly Meetups

GenAI offers amazing opportunities, but also brings along some tough challenges. Instead of working on GenAI by yourself, join a group of curious, collaborative, and friendly fellow EUR GenAI enthusiasts—students, teachers, and staff—for knowledge sharing and hands-on practice.

Collaboration: Connect with like-minded individuals to share successes, tackle challenges and brainstorm solutions in a supportive environment.
Guest speakers: Occasionally we will invite guest speakers who will share the latest insights, practical applications, and future trends in Generative AI.
Flexible Participation: No obligations! Attend at your convenience and engage with us when your schedule allows.
