Biography
Niels Agatz is a professor of last-mile supply chain analytics at Rotterdam School of Management, Erasmus University and the scientific director of TKI Dinalog, the Dutch national institute for collaborative logistics research. He also serves as an area editor for Transportation Science. His research focuses on developing innovative and sustainable last-mile supply chains through advanced analytics. He collaborates closely with industry partners to translate academic insights into practical solutions. His work has been featured in leading academic journals and (inter)national media outlets. Professor Agatz has received several major grants and awards, including the NWO Rubicon Grant and the INFORMS TSL Stella Dafermos Achievement Award. He teaches courses on distribution networks and management science. He holds a Ph.D. from RSM and an M.Sc. in industrial engineering from Eindhoven University of Technology. Agatz has also held visiting positions at Georgia Tech and the Pontifical Catholic University of Chile.
