In her new role, Susanne wants to focus strongly on making the campus future-proof with the vision of making Erasmus University Rotterdam one of the most sustainable universities in the Netherlands. She sees plenty of opportunities to further integrate sustainability into campus strategy, buildings, and facilities to develop a circular campus. Additionally, she wants to work on creating an accessible, attractive, and functional work and learning environment where students and staff can bring out the best in themselves and be themselves.

'My ambition is to develop the campus into a future-proof, innovative, and connecting environment together with my colleagues, where collaboration with businesses and social organizations will naturally have more space. That also aligns with the Engaged University that Erasmus University Rotterdam aspires to be.'
