Renée Scheepers and Manja Vollmann have been awarded a grant from ZonMw for the project “From Signal to Support: Implementation of Teacher Trainings for Student Well-being.” Within this project, an previously developed evidence-informed teacher training will be rolled out across six faculties of Erasmus University Rotterdam (EUR). The training focuses on strengthening teachers’ skills in recognising signs of reduced student well-being, initiating conversations, and referring students appropriately.
By offering the training within EUR faculties, we expect higher participation rates, a more uniform approach across faculties, and a sustainable enhancement of teachers’ knowledge and competencies in the area of student well-being. In doing so, we contribute to a safe and supportive learning environment and to a positive impact on student well-being, in line with the principles of Erasmus education. The project is carried out in collaboration with ESHPM, the EUR Student Wellbeing Programme, and Risbo.
The training sessions are offered between May and September. Potential participants will receive an invitation to register via email.
