This summer, Rotterdam City Council will be resurfacing the Abram van Rijckevorselweg, between Kralingseplein and Maasboulevard. As a result, Campus Woudestein is temporarily less accessible by car. Apart from a few evenings and nights, the Abram van Rijckevorselweg will remain open to through traffic, but fewer lanes will be available, which may cause delays. The work will be carried out in phases to minimise disruption to traffic.
17 to 21 August
During this period, the exit to Kralingse Zoom will be closed to traffic coming from Kralingseplein. Traffic heading for the campus can take a diversion via Abram van Rijckevorselweg and Burgemeester Oudlaan.
Please note: Plaza car park is also partially closed. From 20 July to 28 August, work will also be taking place in the Plaza car park, meaning that the entrance to the car park on Burgemeester Oudlaan will be closed. Please use the entrance on Kralingse Zoom or park in the Mandeville car park.
31 August to 11 September
During this period, the northern carriageways of Abram van Rijckevorselweg will be closed. Traffic will then use the southern carriageways in both directions. During this period, it will not be possible to turn onto Burgemeester Oudlaan from Abram van Rijckevorselweg. You will need to take a detour via Voorschoterlaan or Kralingse Zoom to reach Burgemeester Oudlaan. Does this also apply to cyclists?
14 to 25 September
During this period, the southern carriageways of Abram van Rijckevorselweg will be closed. Traffic will then use the northern carriageways in both directions. During this period, the exit to Kralingse Zoom will be closed to traffic heading towards Kralingseplein; you will need to take a detour via Kralingseplein to reach the campus.
28 September to 3 October
During this period, the Abram van Rijckevorselweg will be closed to traffic coming from Kralingseplein between 8.00 pm and 6.00 am. The exit to Kralingse Zoom will remain open. Traffic can reach the campus via Kralingse Zoom or continue via ’s Gravenweg to Burgemeester Oudlaan.
