The Bachelor's programme History at Erasmus University Rotterdam (EUR) has been named the best history programme in the Netherlands for 2025 by national student survey Keuzegids. The Rotterdam programme scored particularly well in terms of content, lecturers and atmosphere, which is a great compliment to the staff of the History Department at Erasmus School of History, Culture and Communication (ESHCC). Congratulations!
The Bachelor's programme in History at ESHCC scored 68 points, two points above Utrecht University, which took a respectable second place. ESHCC's high score is no coincidence; History has been ranked first or second in Keuzegids since 2017. Naturally, the faculty hopes to maintain this quality, first and foremost in order to provide our students with the best possible education.
