Some films you need to smell as well as see and now that’s possible. Scent specialist Frank Bloem will provide us with special fragrances (the good and the bad) during the film Spirited Away to really immerse yourself in the story.

Frank Bloem originally was a visual artist. Starting in 2014, he began working on creating perfumes and designing scents for exhibitions. He designed elephant scents for Artis, he created a North Sea perfume for the North Sea Embassy, and he manages the Aroma Lab at art center Mediamatic His company The Snifferoo makes perfumes and fragrances on commission. In 2022, he published his book ‘Geur. De vergeten sensatie’.
About the film:
Spirited Away is a wondrous fantasy about a young girl named Chihiro who discovers a secret world of strange spirits, creatures and sorcery. When her parents are mysteriously transformed, she must call upon the courage she never knew she had to free herself and return her family to the outside world.
