Together with artistic director Tyn Wybenga and guest soloist Noa Lauryn, the 32-piece student orchestra presents a powerful musical journey about letting go, reconnecting, and the strength of coming together.

Artistic Team 

Tyn Wybenga is a leading voice in the Dutch modern jazz scene. Known for projects such as Tyn’s Brainteaser Orchestra, he brings together fresh, innovative sounds from Amsterdam’s jazz community. He has collaborated with artists including Ambrose Akinmusire, Avishai Cohen, and the Metropole Orkest.

Noa Lauryn, a rising force in Amsterdam’s soul scene, joins NSJO as guest soloist. With her soulful sound and thoughtful lyrics, she has worked with artists such as Candy Dulfer and Kay Slice, and is regularly featured on Sublime FM and NPO Soul & Jazz.

About NSJO 

The Nederlands Studenten Jazz Orkest is a 32-member annual project orchestra made up of the Netherlands’ most talented student musicians. For two intensive weeks, members pause their studies to fully dedicate themselves to rehearsals and touring. 

The orchestra combines a big band with strings and performs in six Dutch student cities each year. Known for its high artistic level and infectious stage energy, NSJO offers a concert experience you won’t want to miss.
