Inspired by your favorite American late-night show, the evening is all about connecting humor with inspiring guests. All of them are related to EUR or Rotterdam, while bringing expertise and a fresh perspective to the stage. After a sold-out first edition, the upcoming lineup consists of an Olympic athlete, an influencer, two postdoctoral researchers, a musician, and a comedian. Combined with the Late Night Erasmus Showband, a live bartender, and a show concept packed with audience interactions and unexpected moments, you will experience laughs and learnings during the same night!

  • Jelen Franjic
    Being a previous EUR student and current Olympic athlete, Jelen is part of the Dutch bobsleigh team. After participating in the Winter Olympics in Beijing in 2022, he and his teammates managed to achieve one of the highest rankings for any Dutch bobsleigh team during the most recent Milan Winter Olympics in 2026.

  • Dr. Maria Carmen Punzi
    Maria Carmen is a postdoctoral researcher on how social entrepreneurs break taboos around menstrual health. Having recently completed her PhD at RSM, her expertise has been featured in various public discussions and media outlets, such as De Volkskrant. During the show, we will talk about her latest research and discover unexpected insights.

  • Matheus Santa
    With over 250,000 followers on his social media channels, Matheus is known for presenting Dutch news in a fun and unique way. Originally from Brazil, he shares the ins and outs of life as an expat in the Netherlands. Bringing contagious energy, we will discuss his view of Rotterdam, social media trends, and how he built a large following.

  • Dr. Michael Rojek Giffin
    After being an audience favorite during the first edition, Michael returns to Late Night Erasmus. As part of the Erasmus Love Lab, he will spill the tea about stereotypes in porn, discuss desires, and update the audience about his latest research during his short comedy lecture "Procrastubating with Michael Rojek-Giffin".

  • Jazz Sheridan
    Jazz is an Irish-South African singer and songwriter. She has performed her original songs, such as "Midnight Train", live on big stages. Currently an EUR student, she has let her voice be heard during the EURvision, open stage nights, and jam sessions. During the show, she will perform one of her songs with the Late Night Erasmus Showband.

  • Sjoerd Scott
    The Dutch-Caribbean co-host of Late Night Erasmus is a comedian who has been performing in the Netherlands and abroad for years. Mixing storytelling with dry humor, he knows exactly which questions the audience has been waiting for and ensures that the night will be packed with laughter.

  • Paul Hartwig
    Paul is the host of Late Night Erasmus. With years of experience, he connects humor and curiosity to encourage inspiring and light-hearted conversations. Having hosted shows during Eurekaweek, EURvision, tech conventions, and many more, he will make sure that the show entails surprises the audience did not see coming!
