The Community for Learning & Innovation (CLI) gives lecturers from Erasmus University Rotterdam (EUR) the opportunity to apply for a fellowship. With this fellowship, they research educational innovation, or carry out an educational project. On this page you can read more about the CLI Fellowship of Ginie Servant-Miklos (ESSB), which focuses on the Bildung Climate School (BCS).
The Bildung Climate School: The City Edition (BCS) tackles urgent educational challenges by fostering transdisciplinary, sustainable learning. In a 12-week extracurricular program, MBO, HBO, and WO students collaborate on real-world sustainability projects, internships, and Bildung-based learning. BCS enhances personal and collective resilience, sustainability competences, and inclusive democratic engagement. Our program will integrate paid internships with societal stakeholders in the regenerative economy. Research on BCS explores its impact on student resilience, sustainability skills, and group dynamics. The goal is to develop educational practices and networks to embed BCS into EUR and educational partners' curricula in the near future for a durable model of transformative education.
