Sendsteps helps you add live interaction to presentations through polls, quizzes, open questions, word clouds and Q&A. It is especially useful when you already teach with PowerPoint and want to check understanding, collect input or structure discussion without moving to a separate presentation environment. Students can respond from their own device, allowing you to make participation visible during lectures, seminars, working groups or online sessions.

Examples of use in your education
Use Sendsteps when you want to integrate student responses into an existing PowerPoint-based lecture, seminar or working group.
You can apply this tool in your teaching in several concrete ways:
Presentation flow - Add a poll, quiz, open question or word cloud directly into a slide deck, so interaction becomes part of the teaching sequence rather than a separate activity.
Planned interaction points - Place questions at planned transitions in the slide deck, so students briefly switch from listening to responding before the next part begins.
Question collection - Ask students to submit questions during or after an explanation, so you can address common uncertainties without relying only on spoken questions.
Idea collection - Use open questions or word clouds to collect associations, prior knowledge or examples that can be used in a plenary discussion.
Q&A and discussion prompts - Use selected responses as prompts for a plenary discussion, pair exchange or follow-up activity.
Tip 1
Build interaction into the slide deck before the session, so students encounter it as part of the teaching structure rather than as an interruption. For open questions, give students a short thinking moment before they respond.
Tip 2
Avoid adding interaction to every few slides. Use it where it supports a learning objective, not only to make the presentation feel more active.
Use Sendsteps when you want to use student responses to decide what needs more explanation, practice or discussion during the session.
You can apply this tool in your teaching in several concrete ways:
Diagnostic checks - Use a multiple-choice question after explaining a key concept, argument or procedure, so you can see whether students are ready for the next step.
Confidence polling - Ask students how confident they feel about applying a concept, so you can decide whether more practice is needed.
Misconception follow-up - Use a question with plausible wrong answers to reveal common misunderstandings and address them before they continue into later work.
Response-based review - Use response results to decide whether to continue with the planned slide, revisit an explanation, compare different lines of reasoning or move into a prepared discussion slide.
Thematic grouping - When many open responses come in, group them into two or three themes before discussing them, so the plenary conversation remains focused.
Tip 1
Design each quiz or poll around one learning objective, so the results tell you something specific about student understanding.
Tip 2
Prepare a follow-up action for different response patterns. Continue when most students answer correctly, ask students to compare reasoning when responses are divided, or revisit the concept when a misconception appears.
