Who is this for?

The MicroLab is designed for teachers, PhD candidates, tutors or supervisors who want to want to be more intentional about asking questions. No specific prior knowledge is required.   

What will you achieve?

  • Adapt your questions to different levels of thinking according to Bloom's Taxonomy, aligning them with your learning objectives.
  • Activate students effectively by developing strategies for engagement at various levels.
  • Activate student questions as opportunities for depth and growth, in line with your learning objectives.

Content, format, and time investment 

In preparation for the workshop, you will work on their own challenge on Canvas, which they will further explore during the session. There will be a workshop (approx. 3 hours) focusing on your own input and experience. By the end of the workshop, you will have tools that can be applied in your own teaching practice, fostering critical thinking and promoting an interactive learning environment by tailoring questions to student needs and the learning objectives of the course.   

Earn an Edubadge  

If you made the preparation and participated in the session, you can earn an Edubadge. This is a digital, visual certificate which you can share on e.g. LinkedIn. Interested parties can immediately click on the certificate to find out what you have done to achieve the Edubadge.
