Biography
Ruth Mampuys is a senior research fellow at the Netherlands Scientific Council for Government Policy (WRR), an independent advisory body that that delivers long-term, science-based strategic advice to the Dutch government across all policy domains. At the WRR, Ruth has contributed to projects such as ‘COVID-19 scenarios’ and ‘The Netherlands in a Fragmenting World Order’. In addition, she is a visiting fellow at the department Theory and Methodology at the Erasmus School of Law. Her academic research focuses on the governance of biotechnology in view of 1) sustainability goals and perspectives and 2) biotechnology-AI convergence from an ELSI, biosafety and biosecurity perspective.
