JJ (Josje) de Vogel

Biography

Josje de Vogel is an assistant professor in the Law & Business department at Erasmus School of Law (Erasmus University Rotterdam). Her research focuses on how digitisation and sustainable transitions are reshaping consumer markets and what challenges this creates for consumer protection. Among other things, she studies the development of European regulations on circular consumption, such as the right to repair and the relationship with eco-design requirements. In addition, she analyses the shift from ownership to use, ranging from shared mobility and private leasing to subscription and service models, and the consequences this has for the legal protection of consumers.
