On 26 January 2026, the annual EGSL Review Day took place
Pim Jansen gave an introductory lecture, sharing his experiences in his PhD trajectory. After that, the group of new PhD researchers of Erasmus School of Law introduced themselves: from the department Law, Society & Crime: Vivien Lampert; from the Law & Markets Department: David van den Bergh, Jessie Levano, Aaron Pierens and Caglar Yildirim; from the Law & Business Department: Verona Twilt.
The plenary session was followed by three parallel sessions in which the PhD researchers who started their research last year presented the progress they have made so far. The presenting PhD researchers were Domenico Essoussi, Egemen Dogan, Sarah Ebrahem, Deniz Karagoz, Dana de Leeuw, Yuxi Li, Hechen Wang, Guinan Wang, Luci Wang and Merielle de Zwart. After each presentation there was time for feedback from a designated discussant as well as questions from the audience. Many thanks to Siobhan Airey, Erik de Kloe and Mieke Kox for being there as a discussant!
Finally, the EGSL educational programme certificates were handed out, after which the afternoon was concluded by drinks.
