Erasmus University Rotterdam has several networks that strive to improve the diversity amongst and the inclusion of students and staff members of the university.
Staff Networks
The staff networks help foster inclusion of both academic and professional services staff. All employees are invited to join the networks of their preference.
FAME
Females in Academia Moving towards Equity (FAME) is an initiative designed to further the participation, empowerment and achievement of women at EUR.
Young@EUR
Young@EUR ('young at EUR') is a network for young employees (‹36 years old) of Erasmus University Rotterdam (EUR).
QuEUR
QuEUR is the network for LGBTQIA+ employees of Erasmus University Rotterdam and their allies.
Student Networks
Multicultural associations of the Erasmus University represent diversity among students in Rotterdam. The organisations allow students to develop themselves and their sense of cultural diversity by joining one of the committees or organising an educational project. Moreover, it helps them to build a network by getting to know people from their own or from other organisations. Any students at Erasmus University that is interested in a certain culture or identity is welcome to join the association or to participate in the activities. Membership grants access or a discount to wide a variety of events and courses.
ARIA tries to contribute to the development of (Afghan) students by creating a central voice for (Afghan) students with different disciplines. ARIA achieves this by organizing periodic activities. In addition, they advise their members and other interested parties in their education and further career in practice by giving information. ARIA Students is a good combination of first and second generation students and they support the promotion of integration and participation in Dutch society. The student association is independent and neutral in nature.
ASAH, (Association of Students of African Heritage) is the largest international Africa-oriented study association in the Netherlands focused on bridging the gap between students and the African continent. In accordance to this mission, ASAH organizes various events throughout the year.
Student association Avicenna is a multicultural association for all students at Erasmus MC and Erasmus University in Rotterdam. The association was founded in 1996 and is named after the scientist Ibn Sina, an Islamic physician.
His inventions have been crucial to important developments in medicine. Within Avicenna, there is a constant search for interfaces between medical science, ethical issues and the Islamic view of them.
CSA-EUR stands for the Chinese Student Association Erasmus University Rotterdam. CSA-EUR is the student association that interacts with those that share the same interests in Chinese culture or business. Acting as a window between China and the Netherlands, the Chinese Student Association (CSA-EUR) brings multiple cultures and talents together.

The aim of HSFN is to increase the cohesion among Hindu students in the Netherlands, to represent Hindu students and to organize entertaining and informative activities. HSFN strives to promote Hindu culture and identity. HSFN wants to promote this through its activities, newsletters and website. In recent years, the association has taken a more active stance with regard to student affairs and current social issues.

Student association IQRA makes a difference in the lives of young Muslims. Together they work for an inclusive society in which class, colour, sex and religion no longer form dividing lines on which oppression takes place.
Student association Mozaik, or better known as SV Mozaik, is a Turkish student association based at the Erasmus University Rotterdam. The student association was founded in 1995 by Dutch students of Turkish descent, making it the oldest Turkish student association in the Netherlands. Over the years SV Mozaik has grown into a true concept on the campus of the EUR. SV Mozaik is committed to forming a platform for its members. They do this by promoting mutual contacts between students through activities. The study period should be more than just attending lectures and passing exams. Every year Mozaik organizes a wide range of activities where students can get to know each other such as dinners, drinks and study trips. Mozaik also strives to contribute to the self-development of students by organizing educational activities.
PPI Rotterdam stands for Perhimpunan Pelajar Indonesia Rotterdam, or Indonesian Students Association in Rotterdam.
Founded in 1985 by a few students of the Erasmus University Rotterdam, PPI Rotterdam (or often abbreviated as PPI-R) was created to assist the assimilation processes of Indonesian students in Rotterdam, as well as organizing activities that may help Indonesian students feel at home and promote Indonesian culture to the international community in Rotterdam.
PPI Rotterdam organizes the annual event called One Indonesia, that consist of sport competition, educational event, and art exhibitions.
The Rotterdamse Kamer van Verenigingen (R.K.v.V.) is the umbrella body of the five student associations in Rotterdam. The R.K.v.V. represents a total of 3800 Rotterdam students. The R.K.v.V. aims to promote mutual contacts between the member associations and, where necessary, to act as a mediator.

The Surinamese Students Abroad (SSA) association is with more than 2400 members the largest Surinamese student association in the Netherlands. SSA is an association for students who have an affinity with Suriname and in particular those who (temporarily) leave Suriname for their further studies here in the Netherlands.
Their goal is, by organizing various activities that have direct and indirect added value for the entire Surinamese student community in the Netherlands, to make a strong contribution to the further development of students in addition to their studies.
EESA is a student organization at Erasmus University that promotes Eastern European traditions and culture. Their motto is ‘Connecting the East in the West”. It is to build and empower the Eastern European student community at Erasmus University while integrating it into the Dutch society.
AIESEC is a global platform for young people to explore and develop their leadership potential. We are a non-political, independent, not-for-profit organisation run by students and recent graduates of institutions of higher education. Its members are interested in world issues, leadership and management. AIESEC does not discriminate on the basis of ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, religion or national/social origin.
The Erasmus Debating Society is an open and informal society, attracting its membership mostly from Erasmus University students. We have many international members and our weekly debating evenings are generally conducted in English. The society also organizes many workshops and social activities for its members.
Enactus is an international non-governmental organization dedicated to inspiring students to improve the world through entrepreneurial action.
They provide a platform for teams of outstanding university students to create community development projects that put people’s own ingenuity and talents at the center of improving their livelihoods.
Guided by educators and supported by business leaders, our students take the kind of entrepreneurial approach that empowers people to be a part of their own success. Their work transforms both the lives of the people we serve, and in turn, the lives of our students as they develop into more effective, values-driven leaders.
The Erasmus Student Network (ESN) is the largest international student organization in Rotterdam. They aim to enhance the experiences of all internationally minded students in Rotterdam by building a strong international community.
Thousands of students attend our events every year. These events include city trips, weekly and monthly parties, sports tournaments, open stage nights, introduction days, dinners, movie nights, active members events, and many more. In addition, ESN-Rotterdam offers the EUR-buddy programme to all new students. Every student, international or Dutch, is welcome to join their community and organisation.
C.S.V. Ichthus Rotterdam is an interdenominational, Christian student association in Rotterdam. In addition to the association evenings, with speakers and drinks, the Bible circle and fun activities are important evenings within Ichthus Rotterdam.
International Students Rotterdam organizes events that touch upon every aspect of student life such as academic and social events. By inviting International students from all higher educational institutions in Rotterdam they hope to offer a platform that is one of a kind, where you can meet people you otherwise wouldn’t have had the opportunity to.
Their non-profit works strives to make you feel at ease. ISR operates with a start-up nature so that they constantly develop and improve, working tirelessly to inform you of all that you need to know. The aim for ISR is to make sure that every international student feels comfortable.
The aim of the STOLA Foundation is to make a contribution to medical aid in developing countries. The STOLA Foundation wants to do this by involving medical students in health care and related problems in developing countries.
The Association of Reformed Students in Rotterdam has been part of the student life in this vibrant city since 1950. Mainly located in the West of Rotterdam, it is a group of committed Christian students, looking to get more out of their student life. The VGSR is there for both university and HBO students, for everyone who endorses God's word.
Erasmus Pride is the network for students and employees of the Erasmus University Rotterdam aimed at LGBTQ+ issues. Their goal is to connect and educate all those on the Erasmus University Rotterdam through lectures and social drinks.
