Functieomschrijving

The Key Account Manager is responsible for managing and deepening long-term relationships with (existing) corporate clients. You will work in close collaboration with programme managers, sales colleagues, the Corporate & Alumni Relations department (CAR) and the RSM Dean of Engagement & Partnerships to ensure the delivery of excellent high-quality programmes and learning solutions to corporate clients.

You are the lead point of contact for existing key clients, anticipating the client’s executive education needs, advising clients and managing communication between key clients and the internal team to ensure the client’s needs are met. You will also bring in new business from existing clients and develop strong and trusting relationships with major key clients.

Your main tasks

The Key Account Manager will:

  • Maintain and develop ongoing active engagement with existing corporate clients
  • Develop a thorough understanding of key accounts current and evolving learning needs
  • Negotiate contracts and SLA’s with existing clients, establish and meet timelines for deliverables
  • Actively participate in client-related events to develop relationships and on-sell opportunities Collaborate with other members of the Client Engagement to maximise profit by up-selling or cross-selling
  • Participate in business development activities where required, for example preparing sales pitches or having lead meetings or calls
  • Contribute to building client knowledge systems
  • Be eager to help develop and continuously improve our processes and procedures to maximize efficiency

Functie-eisen

  • Degree in Business Administration or other relevant area
  • Minimal 5+ years’ work experience in dealing with clients, in a sales management key account management or other relevant client-facing role
  • Fluent in Dutch and English
  • Be a team-player
  • Proven results of delivering client learning solutions and meeting revenue goals
  • Ability to build and maintain long-term relationships based on trust
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, networking, (interpersonal) relationship building, presentation and influencing skills
  • Motivated to optimize customer journeys by acting as the “gatekeeper” of all the touchpoints of interaction
  • Experience in or have strong affinity with leadership/management development and adult learning

  • Have excellent time management skills with the ability to manage several client accounts
  • Are collaborative with a can-do attitude
  • Passion for learning and showing great learning ability yourself
  • Have in-depth understanding of the market and the decision-making process, as well as company key clients and drive the process forward
  • Have a strong business acumen balanced with customer focus and knowing when and how to act on touchpoints
  • Can analyse data and sales statistics and translate results into recommendations for better solutions
