Find it hard to take breaks, because you 'must' be productive? You're not alone. After watching the short film “Garden Shed” we will open the dialogue.
Join us for a short film screening and talk about the pressure to perform - and how it's wrecking our mental health. Together we will watch the fiction film "Garden Shed" by collective Bloeifilm, and engage in a dialogue with two EUR student psychologists afterwards. How can we actually take care of ourselves and each other in a world that never slows down? No pressure for once. Just good vibes and honest conversation. And we know you think you are too busy; it's the best excuse to join.
“Garden Shed” is a short film (18 min) directed by former EUC-student Finn van den Ijssel, about an overworked fashion designer who, in his search for a working sewing machine, encounters a calm but lonely philosophy student who has squatted in his garden shed. The film explores and depicts how young people can take care of themselves and each other in times of toxic productivity and loneliness.
Organised for SG Playground during the Wellbeing week together with the student psychologists from EUR, student Tippe Kok and director Finn van den IJssel.
SG Playground is your opportunity to share your skills and knowledge. We offer EUR students and PhD-researchers support in organizing their own workshops, lectures or other events. Do you have an idea for an event? Fill in the form!
